For the weekend of 13/14th November, I spent the weekend away at the Capricornia Resort at Yeppoon. It was my first time to go there and sadly, I was not there for rest and relaxation.
My attendance at the resort was for Toastmasters International where my club was the Host of the 2010 Semi-Annual Conference(SAC). Saturday was a lot of fun with some interesting educationals and a fantastic dinner.
One educational in particular involved us forming groups which was the table of people where we sat. Each table was posed a question which involved if something was a club. One of the tables had 'sexy' and their response was hilarious. They announced that they are forming the Sex Club where there are no dress standards, a club which vibrates, etc.
The part of there being no dress codes does raise the matter of how people automatically connect nudity with sex. One would think that it is impossible to not have sex when you're naked which causes me to ask if they shower with clothes on. This is a conversation I have had many times with cottons on people who can't separate nudity and sex from each other. After all, you can have sex while wearing clothing.
Not that sex is anything to be afraid of. It is a perfectly natural normal thing.
Back to the resort. The resort atmosphere made me want to lay back and relax. Actually, I wanted to peel off my clothing and make like a naked banana in the pool. It certainly was a most enjoyable weekend.
