Ahh yes, it's that time of year where the Bah Humbug Bush is erected and who likes the job more than the children do?
After a sweep, vacuum and a mop of the floor, out came the box. After separating the branches by its colour coding, I set the children to work after showing them how to attach them. The photo above is the first half and I have found it easier it attach all the branches before the top half of the trunk.
What I have not shown yet, is the look of the tree with decorations as they are being made instead of bought. Most of them are made and now on the tree but some are still coming along. I am even making one of them myself. Hmm, maybe I should make a naked snowman or maybe Santa. LOL
All the children enjoyed themselves and now the youngest three are very much looking forward to the day now that presents have started to appear underneath. They will only open presents from Santa and my mother on Christmas Day as my mother-inlaw will be visiting early in January where we will do all the rest of the celebrating including the food.
