Naked Therapy?
Sarah White aged 24 years old and living in New York, has stirred up a hornet's nest where she provides 'therapy' where she removes her clothing during the session which she says, helps men.
Not surprisingly, the world of psychotherapists are very upset and many are angry with her saying that she is not adding to psychotherapy in any way. A psychologist I know tells me that she isn't adding to psychotherapy, only offering Counselling. And my friend is not overly happy either.
However, Psychologist friend agrees with me when I suggest, that while many men might seek her out only to perve, would it not be possible that shedding clothing helps these men to lose their inhibitions and open up?
By removing her clothing throughout the session instead of being semi-naked or naked from the very beginning, Sarah could leave herself open to the argument that she's merely presenting a strip tease. We do live in a world after all that is highly tied up with body image and sexual tension issues.
On the basis that Sarah White really is helping men emotionally, then isn't Sarah just using semi-nudity as a tool? Surely that cannot be bad?
